Quick Pros and Cons
The Good
Media - Sync with incredible Amazon media marketplace. Great selection of books, music, and movies.
Wifi Access - As long as you have Internet at home or go somewhere like Starbucks or McDonalds with Free Wifi, you will be online.
Cloud - Seemingly almost unlimited storage as Amazon lets you store on their cloud network.

Mobility - Great personal device you can take anywhere. Fire is small and lightweight for entertainment in bed or on the road.
The Bad
No 3G - This is part of the reason you only pay $199 for a very good tablet. If there's 3G, you pay at least $200 more.
Note: No 3G means you can't browse the web anywhere like you can on a phone with 3G. Wifi means you can connect to an Internet connection. Kindle Fire does have Wifi.
Limited Documents - You can view most documents but you can't edit or create new ones.
Smaller Screen - Not as big a screen as the iPad.
No Camera - You can't take pictures with your device, nor can you talk on webcam. If you're planning on using your Kindle Fire as a camera, no go.
